NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Issue/Introduction

I need to be able to stop a CTRACE I started within Netmaster by issing a z/OS modify command to Netmaster. Is this possible ? I see that you can do something similar with Smartrace. I'd like untrained operators to stop the trace without me having to explain how to do it via Netmaster panels, etc.

Resolution

Give the command '$IPPT74Z ACTION=STOP' a try to stop a CTRACE, if the trace is already started.

I did the following in Netmaster's Command Entry - cmd -

$IPPT74Z ACTION=STatus

IPPT7403 NMDWTR3 job status is ACTIVE

$IPPT74Z ACTION=STOP

IPPT7414 CTRACE stop complete. Trace data available in <hlq>.CTRACE

$IPPT74Z ACTION=STatus

IPPT7403 NMDWTR3 job status is INACTIVE
