Issue/Introduction

Using net_connect & snmpcollector to monitor network devices. Some devices show ipaddress instead of hostname in OC inventory.

Environment

Release : 20.x

Component : UIM - net_connect

Resolution

Working as expected. We expect the Ip/host to be resolvable using DNS

As a workaround for Servers you can try to insert the hostname in the host file to force the discovery via Hostname
