Issue/Introduction

With CA 1 Release 14.0 there is a new CTAPLOAD library provided, which contains module TMSBLDUE. What is this utility used for?

Environment

Release: 14.0

Resolution

The TMSBLDUE utility at CA 1 Release 12.6 and older was used to assist in building TMMVOLDF statements for use with the CA 1 supplied exits TMSEXITU and TMSEXITE for an old format TMC. For details see the CA 1 Release 12.6 Utilities and Reports Reference Guide.

This utility is no longer supported with CA 1 Release 14.0. TMSBLDUE in the Release 14.0 CTAPLOAD library is a dummy version of the original TMSBLDUE module. If executed it just ends with RC8 and the following message in SYSPRINT:

"Starting in CA 1 R14.0, TMSBLDUE and TMMVOLDF will no longer be supported. Please use TMSBLDVR or TMSXTEND."
