Its not an issue, But we need to clearly understand the definition of Top N.
Top N is a way to qualify a graph on an Introscope dashboard so that only the Top N metrics display. Top N metrics along with time, they vary. The data-point values are extracted from the smart-store and these are based on the number of archive files it can search. Only those metrics which are Top N at the time of retrieval from smart-store are displayed. This varies from time to time.
For instance, Lets say At 10:00 AM we have A, B, C, D, E metrics in the Top 5 Graph out of all the 26 alphabets. Now at 10:15 AM when we retrieve the fresh set of Top 5, We have B, C, D, E and F as Top 5 from 26 alphabets. Then we display B, C, D, E, F in the graph. Metric 'A' will no longer will be displayed in the graph. Now again at some point of time 'A' come to the Top 5 again when we retrieve them. Then 'A' will come into Top 5 and will be displayed in the graph.
To summarize, Only those metrics will be displayed in 8 minute window, which are in Top N At the time of retrieval of data from smart-store. The result set may vary for each retrieval.
