eTID not being created when importing Account Template via LDIF

Issue/Introduction

When importing between systems via LDIF to a Provisioning directory the eTID in the new system is different from the one in the old system.  Why does the eTID change after import?


Environment

Release : 12.x\14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

If you are importing the LDIF into the Identity Manager Provisioning Server (IMPS) i.e. port 20389/20390 layer then the eTID will be auto-generated. If you are importing the LDIF into the Identity Manager Provisioning Directory (IMPD) layer it would not be generated.  Users should not be importing into the IMPD layer.
