Issue/Introduction

Changes were made to the Policy Statements and now the Compliance Event Manager CEMALERT task fails to start with message 'CEM0266E CEM Policy MAPINIT Failed, RC = 0000001C'. 

Resolution

The CEM0266E error with RC 1C is an indication that there is a syntax error with a Policy Statement.

Using the Compliance Event Manager user interface review all of the Policy Set statements to check for possible syntax errors, correct the Policy Statement, and restart the CEMALERT component task(or the component task that is failing).
