Issue/Introduction

Procedure to follow to determine if SARXTD is running in our environment.

Resolution

Since we can give the SARXTD started task any name we want, the first thing need to do is find out what it's called.

  • Go to SDSF, option 3.14 and in the field for Search String enter PGM=SARXTD
  • In the field for dataset name enter the proclib name (Example: USER.PROCLIB)
  • The results will be any Procs that execute PGM=SARXTD.

Now we have the name/names of a SARXTD started task (Example: L1VXT122)
To findout if the SARXTD started task active or not, issue a modify(F) command for a status as below,

Example : /F L1VXT122,STATUS

The result displayed as follows:

 STC60149  SARXTD10  Security disabled
 STC60149  SARXTD11  Accounting disabled
STC60149  SARXTD09  Automatic report archival enabled with specifications:
 STC60149  SARXTD09  A/B/C//V122/D

This shows that SARXTD is active.
