Issue/Introduction

At reboot of computer caf.exe is crashing sometimes with Application Error in module cainf.DLL (Exception code: 0xc0000005)

Following Event could be seen in Windows Event Viewer Application :



Faulting application name: caf.exe, version: 14.0.2000.255, time stamp: 0x59b256d0

Faulting module name: cainf.DLL, version: 14.0.2000.255, time stamp: 0x59b28a28

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x000403c0

Faulting process id: 0xd00

Faulting application start time: 0x01d4fb38a9f9b849

Faulting application path: c:\Program Files (x86)\CA\DSM\bin\caf.exe

In TRC_CF_CAF_SERVICE_*.log last line before crash is :

Cause

This problem occurs sometimes at boot time when caf.exe is doing an inventory on network environment and network software is not yet fully initialized
