Does CA Allocate manage VSAM files which are used by CICS?

Issue/Introduction

If a dataset under one CICS region needs to be enlarged by a new volume, do other CICS regions know about this new volume, can they process this enlarged VSAM dataset?

Resolution

CA Allocate can add a volume to a data set that is controlled by a CICS region. CA Allocate does not issue any CICS command to inform other CICS regions that the data set has changed.
