Environment

  • z/OS 2.x
  • Common Services 15.0
  • Datacom/AD

Cause

These messages can indicate that PTF RO54507 was never installed and implemented at the 14.1 release level.

There were specific HOLD ACTION steps that were required to make the corresponding changes to the ENF database.

This PTF is included as part of the r15.0 code base and therefore the related HOLD ACTION steps need to be followed.

Resolution

Follow the steps below-

NOTE: ENF must be down when the following procedure is performed.
  1. Start the ENF related Datacom/AD MUF in its own address space.
    • If already running with ENFXMUF, this is already being done.
  2. Obtain a list of ENF Event tables by submitting CAW0JCL member CASQL001
  3. Edit CAW0JCL member CASQL004 with the list of tables obtained from the previous step to be dropped and then run job CASQL004
  4. Import the new plan using updated CAW0JCL member AW1IMPRT
  5. Shutdown the MUF if you normally run an ENFIMUF
  6. Re-start ENF with the REINIT parm, i.e. S ENF,,,REINIT making sure that the CAIDCM DD statement is using the CAW0DCM dataset for release 15.0
Confirm that the same CAW0LOAD used during the Import, is being used to start ENF.
At ENF start-up, ENF initialization code will re-define the Event Related tables with the expanded time column, TIMEL.

Error messages will result if ENF is started with either the old version of code and new version of the ENF Datacom tables
Or
the new version of the code and the old version of the ENF Datacom Tables

Additional Information

To verify what plans have been successfully imported, run the job documented in KD How to List Imported ENF Plans
