Issue/Introduction

Applied Common Services r15.0 SO08469 and now CAUNZIP job fails with the following:

    989             ERROR DESCRIPTION: IEC143I
    989             An OPEN was attempted against an extended-format data set with a DCB
    989             that specified EXCP. EXCP is not supported for extended-format data
    989             sets.

Environment

Release : Common Services 15.0 with SO08469 applied 

 

Cause

The SMS class being used to allocate the SYSUT2 included a DSN NAME TYPE of Extended

Use an SMS dataclas that does not use the  DSN NAME TYPE of Extended
