Issue/Introduction

What does "Reserved/SNMP" in the Vendor column of the Spectrum Report Manager "Availability by Class and Vendor: All Devices" report mean?

Environment

Release : Any version of Spectrum integrated with CABI

Component : Spectrum Reporting

Cause

CABI is affected by CA Spectrum / SpectroSERVER logic which will not poll a device in Maintenance Mode after a SpectroSERVER restart. While in Maintenance Mode, external attributes are not populated or updated. This is the case for the sysObjectID attribute which is then sync'ed to the reporting database asset data. Thus the Asset report does cover those assets as "valid and existing assets" but under "Unkown Vendor / SNMP device".

Resolution

No solution/resolution/workaround as this is functioning as designed.
