Issue/Introduction

Is there a Tomcat server provided for the Mainframe Application Tuner (MAT) GUI interface?

Environment

Release:
Component: MATUNE

Resolution

Starting with MAT 11.0 we do not provide the possibility of installing the Tomcat server during customization.

With this change you will need to have the Tomcat server installed prior to running TRCUST and perform MAT customizations.

You can also utilize the Common Services Tomcat server if you like.

If you customize without a Tomcat server installed, you will need to install it before performing GUI customization (Step 16).

Once you do the customization and run the deploy and eventually config script, all you should need to do is to bring up Tomcat (to which you deployed) and then enter the correct address to the browser. Once the deployment is done, Tomcat should automatically initialize the MAT servlet during startup.
