Is SQL OPTION a requirement to benefit from Dynamic System Tables and AUTOSCOPE?

Resolution

The AutoScope toolset was created with the non-SQL site in mind. All tools collect their data from DSTs without the activation the SQL option in the MUF. The access is handled by a mini-SQL parser that is in AutoScope.

AUTOCOLLECT: Once the AUTOCOLL snapshots are captured and placed into DBID 1019 (SNAPSHOTS) and the DBID 1020 DELTAs processed, the data is fully defined. It is available to SQL and to RAAT and SAAT and therefore accessible to any application.

This also applies for AUTOSTATUS. The data is captured by the snapshots into a Datacom database DBID 1018 (AUTOSTATUS) and is totally available to standard Datacom APIs (RAAT, SAAT, SQL).
