Issue/Introduction

Oracle database was upgraded to 18c and one of the database user was locked.  Did not get the user unlocked until this morning but my CA TDM user account is locked.  My Administrator account is also locked.  How do I reset these in GT DataMaker if I cannot log in?

Resolution

The GA release of TDM 4.7 does not support Oracle 18c, which is contributing to the problems accessing the gtrep database.

Engineering has made some changes to GT Datamaker to start supporting Oracle 18c, which was added to a future release of TDM.

If you are experiencing this issue, open a case with Support and request one of the following patches:

For TDM 4.6: GTDataMakerPB-4.6.0.20

For TDM 4.7: GTDataMakerPB-4.7.43.0

After 3 unsuccessful authentication attempts, the user account in the gtrep database will become locked. to verify this, check the gtrep_security_user, which contains details about the user accounts. Check the su_password_expire column. If the account is lock this will be set to Y. To unlock the account change the value to N.
