UIM - Probe Configuration window cannot be open from IM

Issue/Introduction

Unable to open probe's Configuration GUI from Infrastructure Management

When trying to open a probe Configuration GUI from Infrastructure Management you may see the following errors:

Note: In some scenarios the probe UI never loads

 

Error 1:

     Unable to reach controller, node:

     /[Domian]/[Hub]/[Robot]/oracle

     error message: communication error

     

Error 2:

     oracle GUI load error (config file not found)

 

Error 3:

     Run-time error ´364´:

     Object was unloaded

     Robot name: /[Domian]/[Hub]/[Robot]

     Hub name: /[Domian]/[Hub]/[Robot]

Error 4:

     Unable to open /util/conf_controller.exe for write.

     Tried to open read-only file for writing, or file's sharing mode does not allow specified operations, or given path is directory.

 

Environment

Release: All supported UIM versions

 

Resolution

On machine where is opening Infrastructure Management

1- Close all open Infrastructure Management interfaces

2- Delete the temporary files at %TEMP%\util folder

the %TEMP% folder (usually located at C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp).

3- Reopen Infrastructure Management interface and test
