Error while retrieve list of Projects or Creating Projects from DevTest Portal

Issue/Introduction

Once logged it an error comes up. Project/test suites could not be added through Manage Option as it throws an error.

Resolution

Permissions issue on the Project folder of where the Portal is running. 

 Steps to resolve issue: 

 1. Bring down the Portal service. 

2. Go to where the DevTest is installed. 

3. Highlight DEVTEST_HOME folder and right-click. 

4. Choose Properties. 

5. Choose Security tab. 

6. Choose Edit push-button. 

7. Highlight Users Group.

 8. Make sure Permissions Full control and Modify check-boxes are checked true under the Allow column. 

 9. Click the Apply push-button. 

10. Start Portal service and it resolved the issue.,
