We are using the General Transaction Server (GTS) for doing remote checking with JCLCHECK. It is configured to use TCP as a communication method as the checking is being done between LPARs in the development sysplex and production sysplex.
I am looking for a way to be able to move the production GTS server to a different LPAR within the same sysplex without changing the client definitions on the development GTS server and without changing any DNS names, i.e. having the GTS server listen on a dynamic VIPA which moves as the server is moved.
Question: Is there a way for GTS to bind either to a specified DVIPA (which is defined in the TCPIPSxx member) or to INADDR_ANY so that the DVIPA can be assigned via the PORT BIND statement in TCP.Release : 12.0
Component : JCLCheck workload Automation
Feature: ChekPlex Remote Validation
Answer: The CA General Transaction Server (GTS) currently does not support either method.
