OPS/MVS Compatibility with OPERLOG

Issue/Introduction

We would like to start using OPERLOG and want to know if there's any action required for OPS/MVS to talk to OPERLOG instead of SYSLOG.   Also, will there be any repurcussion if we use OPERLOG and SYSLOG at the same time until our testing is complete?

Release : 13.0 and above

Cause

Customer site is in the process of switching to use OPERLOG in place of SYSLOG

Resolution

Our OPSLOG is derived from the Subsystem Interface, where we register for system events. Therefore, no further action is required from customers who choose to use OPERLOG either instead of, or in conjunction with SYSLOG. It has no effect on OPSLOG.
