Issue/Introduction

Installing new drives and I have a question about the TLMS CBRUXENT.

Environment

Release : 12.6 / 14.0

Component : CA TLMS Tape Management

Cause

Installing new TS77xx series and wondering what will happen when a foreign volume is entered and the TLMS CBRUXENT exit is being used.

Resolution

The CTS/CBRUXENT exit does a query against the TLMS VMF. If the volume is not found within that VMF, it is considered a Foreign volume. 

In the exit, this will branch to tag RC 16. The exit will ignore the volume transaction and exit.
