Issue/Introduction

VAIM 12.9 manager support for Windows 2016

Environment

Database Requirement:

SQL Server 2012 (32 bit, 64 bit), Standard and Enterprise Editions

Resolution

To install VAIM 12.9 on Windows 2016 the following pre-requisite steps are required.

1. Add new key to the registy

 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\KeyExchangeAlgorithms\Diffie-Hellman]

Add a DWORD value called ServerMinKeyBitLength

Set the value in Hexadecimal to 00000200.

After installation change it to 00000800.

2. In the SQL Management Studio, change permission for the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM user selecting the sysadmin checkbox.

This permission setting can be reverted after the installation of VAIM 12.9.
