CWIML4505E: The user registry was unable to get the entity P70040 in WAS For z/OS using Direct Connect

Issue/Introduction

The following error was received in WAS For z/OS using DIRECT CONNECT:
CWIML4505E: The user registry was unable to get the entity P70040 due to an underlying error :
com.ibm.wsspi.security.wim.exception.WIMAppplicationException: com.ibm.ws.security.registry.EntryNotFoundException:
OSMPITRA is not a valid group com.ibm.ws.security.authentication..jaas.modules.HashtableLoginModule 192" at ffdc_19.05.20_15.02.28.2.log L'acid is P70040 & OSMPITRA is the GID.

If the group is removed via TSS REM(P70040) GROUP(OSMPITRA)  then the user can logon in WAS For z/OS Direct Connect.  In zos 2.2 zosconnect (WAS FOR Z/OS 18.0.0.3, z/OS Connect 03.00.16/wlp-1.0.22.cl180320180905-2337) on IBM J9 VM, version 8.0.5.5 - pmz6480sr5fp5-20171114_01(SR5 FP5) (en_US)

Resolution

Installed new version of WAS For z/OS:

Old version:  product = WAS FOR Z/OS 18.0.0.3, z/OS Connect 03.00.16 (wlp-1.0.22.cl180320180905-2337)
New Version:  product = WAS FOR Z/OS 18.0.0.4, z/OS Connect 03.00.20 (wlp-1.0.23.cl180420181121-0300)
