What is the CONTROL FILE VERSION: number that is listed on the CA DADS Plus for CICS DADBCNTL report?

Issue/Introduction

The client updated the CA DADS Plus for CICS DADS01 Control file using utility program DADBCNTL. What is the CONTROL FILE VERSION 02 listed on the report used for? Does this version number have anything to do with the DADSBIF version number?

Resolution

The CONTROL FILE VERSION: 02 is only used for the DADS01 file and has nothing to do with the DADSBIF version number. The CONTROL FILE VERSION: number listed on the control file is never used for resolving problems and can be ignored.
