Please use the following patch with for fix for US588255 (Need clarification on Scheduling Jobs on the portal) TDMWeb-4.6.57.0.zip. Please Contact BC Support for this enhancement. Please note that this did NOT get into the 4.8 GA.
Note that this patch contains UI changes and the customer will need to clear browser cache. After installing the patch customer can restrict scheduling to a particular time range in a day. They will have to add a variable named SCHEDULED_TIME_RANGE_LIMIT to Self Service Flow in ARD and its value should be range between 0 and 23
example
1-4 means flow can be scheduled between 1:00 and 4:00
14-22 means that flow can be scheduled between 14:00 and 22:00 20-6 means that flow can be scheduled between 20:00 and 6:00
No need to restart after changing values of SCHEDULED_TIME_RANGE_LIMIT, just launch Self Service flow again
