Issue/Introduction

Upgrading Database Management for Db2 for z/OS products from release r19.0 to r20.0.

Noted the following new members in the hlq.SAMPJCL library:
DBM03ALU, DBM06MKD and DBM15CSU

Must the above new JCL members be executed as part of the native PAX installation process?

Resolution

Yes, these JCL members must be run regardless of specific products installed.
The DBMAREAD documentation in hlq.SAMPJCL is a bit misleading.

FMIDs CSQ2100 and CINSK00 are not optional and must be installed when installing the Db2 tools r20.

Thus the following members within hlq.SAMPJCL are required:
DBM03ALU- Allocate product USS Datasets
DBM06MKD- Allocate product USS Directories
DBM15CSU- Customize SMP/E CSI for USS

The USS related members are new and required for expected new development within the Db2 tools r20 release.
