How to fix the Error writing to file issue when trying to install Brightside using the Windows Installer?

To fix this issue the user should ensure that (i) there are no Brightside files on their system (perhaps from a previous installation that was not properly uninstalled) and (ii) the Windows Installer is properly registered on their system.
The following steps needs to be performed:
Step 1: Refer the steps below to unhide the folders and check.
Press Windows + X.
Click on File explorer options.
Click View Tab
Check the Hidden Items Checkbox
Or
Click View Tab
Check the Hidden Items Checkbox

Step 2: Uninstall your Brightside Application via Add or Remove Programs
a. Press Windows Key + X
b. Click Apps and Features
c. Search for Brightside in the list of Apps
d. Click Uninstall

Step 3: Verify if you have the ..\CA\Brightside EE folder in your AppDataRoaming folder (C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Roaming) .
It should not be there. If it is there, kindly delete it.
Step 4: Go to your User Folder C:\Users\depma02 and delete the .zowe folder
Deleting these folders allows you to have a clean installation. It will remove possible corrupted data that might be installed in you first installation.
Step 5: Unregister and re-register Windows Installer.
Again, press Windows key + R and type msiexec /reg and press Enter.

Step 6: Try to install Brightside again.
