Identity Manager Web Services (TEWS) utilizes SOAP calls to process data.
When handling large volumes of data or complex transactions, these calls may exceed the default timeout threshold, resulting in a connection failure or "Connection closed by remote host" error in the logs.
Identity Manager 14.x
The default timeout for Task Execution Web Services (TEWS) may be insufficient for long-running SOAP requests. This is common in environments with high latency or when executing tasks that require significant server-side processing.
To increase the timeout for SOAP calls, follow these steps in the Identity Manager Management Console:
Note: For additional fine-tuning, verify the underlying application server (e.g., JBoss/Wildfly) timeout settings are also aligned with this value.
