Issue/Introduction
After running the modeling gateway import, there are numerous errors showing connection failure:
Failed to create connection "Device=a.a.a.a, Port: portID=11131@x.x.x.x; Device=b.b.b.b, Port: portID=3@x.x.x.x": right side port model was not found. Failed to create connection "Device=a.a.a.b, Port: portID=11135@1x.x.x.x; Device=b.b.b.c, Port: portID=7@x.x.x.x": right side port model was not found. Failed to create connection "Device=a.a.a.c, Port: portID=10101@x.x.x.x; Device=b.b.b.d, Port: portID=8@x.x.x.x": right side port model was not found. Failed to create connection "Device=a.a.a.d, Port: portID=1@x.x.x.x; Device=b.b.b.e, Port: portID=185@x.x.x.x": left side port model was not found for device a.a.a.d
Environment
Release: Component: SPCCSS
Cause
There is mismatched information between the export and the newly created model. This is most likely due to interface tables not being current on the system the export was run on.
Resolution
Take the IP addresses from the "Device" entry and put them in a list and save the text file. Use Autodiscovery to create a new discovery, and import the text file. Run the Discovery against the models to rediscover their connections. If you decide to schedule the discovery, make sure you do select the "Discover Connections During Scheduled Discovery" so that the connections will be rediscovered on those models.
