Issue/Introduction
Question about NJOBS during RESTORE CAIJTRK.
CADC006W WRAP-AROUND HAS OCCURRED DDNAME=CAIJTRK
We have a VSE machine that runs up to 2500 scheduled jobs at the end of the month. Do we have any benefit relating to the wrap around if we use a higher value of NJOBS during "RESTORE CAIJTRK"?
Do you suggest using NJOBS=2500 ? Or, NJOBS=4000 ?
What do you recommend ?
Environment
SCHEDULER VSE CA Scheduler 7.3, Service Pack 0304 Operating System: zVSE 5.2
Resolution
We recommend a higher value than 2500 to allow a cushion before reaching the end of the tracking file data area.
To determine a good value we would need to know how many jobs are run between REORGS and how often do you do a REORG of the tracking file?
Additional Information
Two other factors are the # of jobs you run between REORGS and how often you do a REORG of the tracking file.
