Clarity PPM SaaS Clarity PPM On Premise

Issue/Introduction

User with full permissions as collaboration manager not able to upload documents in Project > Collaboration tab

The error in the BG log is:
com.niku.union.exceptions.DMSException: Unable to write file

The job(Index contents and documents for searches) completes but when uploading a document with a valid extension, the error message appears:

DMS-02110: Unable to write file. Contact your system administrator.

Resolution

Check the filestore configuration. If the file store is configured to store files on the server, 
1. Check if the the disk is full
2. Check if file write permissions to the Clarity and Filestore folders are given

If the issue persists, restart the APP service and attempt to reproduce the issue.
Review the APP and BG logs if the error message is consistent with the error in the UI.

If there is no logging, replace the logger.xml file with the original.
