Why does the PAM appliance appear to hang and the LCD screen remains blank after clicking the reset button?

PAM Hardware Appliances ONLY

Resolution

One possible cause of why the reset appears to hang is that an RJ45 cable has been plugged into the console port on the front Panel of the PAM Appliance. The console port cannot be used for network connectivity and if not properly connected to a serial connector it may misbehave, causing the appliance to erroneously wait for some signal through this port. Try clicking the reset button again after unplugging this cable to validate proper LCD functionality.

It is also possible that the appliance has some physical defect. Try the suggestion above first and if that doesn't help please open a support ticket to have your appliance checked.
