Issue/Introduction

When performing a file transfer with an AIX Agent, it is possible for the file transfer to become stalled and, once this occurs, an additional process is left on the OS that has to be terminated normally (a restart of the Agent does not eliminate the additional process).

Environment

Release:
Component: AAUTEN

Cause

This is an internal timing issue for when a File Transfer receives a QUIT message while the end of transfer is resolving.

Resolution

The issue was found and fixed with:

Automation.Engine 12.1.4 HF2 in Agent Unix - Released 3-21-2019
Automation.Engine 12.2.2 HF2 in Agent Unix - Released 3-21-2019

Hotfix-Description: File transfer leaves zombie process sporadically on Unix Agent

An issue was solved where the Unix Agent would not execute a file transfer and instead leave a zombie process.
