Issue/Introduction

While adding  Autosys instance in WCC configuration tab we get the following error

"E190099 server name - Connection exception encountered. CAUAJM_E_00064 Return code 5 received processing request"

The server status shows not available

Environment

Workload Automation AE 11.x / 12.x
Workkload Control Center 11.x/12.x

Cause

To troubleshoot the issue we reviewed the agent spool files created while validating the user id from WCC.  They are under the following directory in the server running application server (as_server)
<AGENT INSTALL>/spool/<Instance name>_APP_<server name>/MAIN/WAAE_WF0.1

We found the following lines in the spool file which appeared to be logging off the monitor id each time.

WARNING:  YOU ARE SUPERUSER !!

resize: Can't open terminal /dev/tty
Authentication failed
logout root

This was done by  some profile script which was restricting the login.

Resolution

The agentparm.txt file  in agent  machine on the application server had the following entry commented out.

#oscomponent.noforceprofile=true

This parameter specifies whether the agent allows loading a .profile/.login file that is based on the usual UNIX rules for sourcing .profile/.login. The default value is false.

Setting the parameter to true (uncommenting it in this case) fixed the issue.
