Issue/Introduction

Can the container rollup alarm in Spectrum be changed to alarm on the entire container model instead of just the upside down triangle

Environment

Spectrum 10.x

Resolution

Yes, this can be changed with a modification to the OneClick xml files that control this function.

Out of the box, alarms on models within a container model will roll up threshold values to the container and depending on the rollup values on the model alarming and threshold values set on the container model, a rollup alarm will be displayed on the container model as an upside down triangle to indicate a rollup threshold alarm exists.

The oneclick-container-iconbase-config.xml and oneclick-container-iconbase-image-config.xml files located in the following directory can be modified to accomplish this:

$SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/WEB-INF/topo/config

When complete, the entire container model will change to the roll up condition color

NOTE: This is a global change and will affect all users logging into OneClick. Doing this may confuse some users into thinking the container is in an alarm status.

Additional Information

The attached KB000132107.zip file contains a oneclick-container-iconbase-config.xml and a oneclick-container-iconbase-image-config.xml file that can be placed in the following directory of the OneClick server to achieve this:

$SPECROOT/custom/topo/config

After copying these files to the above directory, users will have to log out and then log back into OneClick in order to see this change.
