What is the process in Spectrum when network hardware is replaced?

Issue/Introduction

We have replaced some old network hardware with new network hardware. The old network hardware is currently modeled in Spectrum.

What is the process in Spectrum to update the database when network hardware is replaced?

Any Spectrum version 

Resolution

The "old" model in Spectrum needs to be deleted and the "new" hardware modeled from scratch. Each device model in Spectrum is a representation of the physical device on the network. It does not matter if the new hardware is the same hardware type from the same vendor or different vendor. The new hardware is a different device.
