Running AXFFB01, receive error DB00501E - OPEN ERROR - RETURN CODE 56 (001) CXX=

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading and migrating the application database to the new version of CA Datacom/AD, the AXFFB01 fallback job receives a RC 56(001), with this error message:

DB00501E - OPEN ERROR - RETURN CODE 56 (001) CXX= 

How do I resolve this RC 56(001) error so I can complete this job?

Resolution

This problem is usually caused by one of two things:

1. You are using a wrong combination of loadlibs in the STEPLIB of the job, or
2. You have some old version loadmodules in Linklist that are not for the version to which you are trying to fall back.

Please check your STEPLIB statement in this LINK step of the job - you should have the prior version CUSLIB for this MUF, the prior version CAAXLOAD, and the prior version CXX.

If you cannot resolve the problem with this information, please contact CA Technologies support to open a support case, and attach the output of the AXPOR* job that you used to migrate to the new version, and the output of this failed AXFFB01 job.
