CA IDMS COBOL programs linked with RHDCLENT

Issue/Introduction

CA IDMS COBOL programs from previous releases are linked with module RHDCLENT which no longer exists in the current release. Should the programs be re-linked to remove RHDCLENT?

Environment

z/OS and z/VSE operating systems.

Resolution

RHDCLENT and RHDCLINT were removed from CA IDMS 14.1. They were used in prior releases for LE/370 support. 
This was replaced by the use of RHDCLEFE in the CV. Nothing needs to be linked with a CA IDMS COBOL program for LE support.

There is no need to relink programs to remove module RHDCLENT. It should not cause any problems.
However, if LE related abends are being experienced by the program then it can be relinked to remove RHDCLENT.

The linkedit only needs to include module IDMS.

Internally, module IDMS has a module name of IDMSSTUB.
