Issue/Introduction

User cannot sign on to Ideal .  Getting error IDADUEDS07 - USR not valid for Ideal SIGNON.

Environment

Ideal 

Cause

Ideal USER definition might be in non-PROD status as per the Ideal error.

Resolution

Check the status of the Ideal USER by running Ideal command D USER name or run D IND USER name .
If the USER is not in PROD status , MARK the USER to PROD. 

Check also if the USER has an Ideal system assigned .

Sample of an Ideal USER which has Ideal administrator rights with all access to Ideal system $ID: 

IDEAL Privileges: Mark at least 1 with an "X" to enable IDEAL signon 

( X ) IDEAL Administrator - May use any IDEAL facility 
( _ ) PRINT Administrator - Has control of Print facility 
( _ ) DVW Administrator - Catalogs DATAVIEW definitions 
( _ ) IDEAL User - May use all non-Administrator facilities
