Issue/Introduction

The PAM Management console allows you to upload patches, for later staging to cluster members being managed.  The PAM-CM-0039 message is being displayed: "Unable to perform the operation. Please contact System Administrator."

Cause

The error message actually appeared on several Management Console pages.  This pointed to the problem being some sort of database problem.

Environment

The Management Console was running 3.2.4, but this problem could occur on any version of PAM.

Resolution

The problem was resolved by going to the Administration side of the Management Console, and then to the Config --> Database page, where the database was reset.

Resetting the database cleared out the configuration of the clusters being managed.  This had to be reconfigured, which involved adding a cluster, on the Clusters page, getting the Cluster Cookie from the Onboarding info page, and pasting it into the Config --> Management Console --> Integration page.  The password for the MCApiKey user on the Management Console must be pasted to this page as well.  Make sure to check the Integration box.
