Issue/Introduction
The client's user suddenly was unable to print or save anything, to PDF format, in CA OM Web Viewer.
When a print or saving is attempted, in the CA DRAS task, received is message:
CAHAVOP02 No views found for Report "AAAAAAAAAAAA" Gen=9999 Seq=9
Reason: An attempt is made to retrieve the logical views for a report. No logical views are defined for the report. Only the native view of the report is available.
What constitutes a logical view?
What does the message mean?
Environment
CA View - All Releases CA DRAS - All Releases
Resolution
The message:
CAHAVOP02 NO VIEWS FOUND FOR REPORT "rid" GEN=gen SEQ=seq
means that a request is being made for use of a CA View logical view, and the report in use has no corresponding logical views defined in the View database.
A logical view is defined, within CA View and by batch (SARBCH), for a particular report.
A logical view can carry many characteristics, including limiting the pages that are presented, based on an index.
Every report in View has a "native" view, which will show all of the pages.
In this instance, the user was printing and saving reports to PDF format (had Adobe set as a default printer), and the functioning stopped. The client believes that the matter has to do with Adobe.
