Issue/Introduction

The following error message is written in the manager for z/OS Log after every job submission:
 
ERROR!X!ZOS!pid=p.t!hostent_lock_init !pthread_once(hostent_lock_create) error -1 

Nevertheless, the job is submitted correctly.
 

Environment

Manager for z/OS 6.x on z/OS (MVS)

Resolution

Workaround: ignore the Error as it has no side-effects.

Solution: update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
