Issue/Introduction

Starting the Datacom Multi-User (MUF) fails with  
DB00216E - ERROR IN SYSIN/SYSIPT DATA

Job finishing with  CCODE U0004  PGM=DBMUFPR

Environment

z/OS  CA Datacom/DB 15.1

Cause

APAR #: SO05964  Title: MUF STARTUP OPTION "NORESTART" ENHANCEMENT has been applied.

NORESTART and DORESTART startup parameters are no more allowed.

Resolution

Start the MUF using  

NORESTART_TODAY or 

DORESTART_TODAY

These new options provide greater protection against accidental data corruption than the prior options.

Additional Information

DORESTART (NORESTART) will generate the following new error message:
DB01932C - DORESTART HAS BEEN DEPRECATED, AFTER REQUIREMENT REVIEWED AND REQUIRED, SEE DORESTART_TODAY
