When running the AXPOR01 job to migrate an application database from a previous version of CA Datacom/AD to the current version, you might receive messages like these from the DDRTVBAS step:
LINK REPORT: *** VERIFY ERROR MESSAGES ***
DDRTVC0019 CAUTION DATABASE ID HAS CHANGED
OCCURRENCE = L7603
ATTRIBUTE = DATACOM-ID
OLD VALUE = 0601
NEW VALUE = 0603
Do these messages indicate a problem, and if so, how do I correct this?
The base products (or "using" products) that use CA Datacom/AD as their data repository are shipped with default database IDs (DBIDs) for the product. While many clients will elect to use the default DBID, other clients are change this value to something else. In order for the Datadictionary/CXX CATALOG functionality to work correctly, we will review the definition and note any differences from the default that could cause a problem for the application.
In this case, the message indicates that although we shipped and expected a default of 601 for the DBID, we actually encountered DBID 603. This is a notification message, and if you expect to see this and know that the "NEW VALUE" is correct, there is nothing further that you need to do.
As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA Datacom if you have further questions.
