Issue/Introduction

Error when installing IM Data Collector:

"The install folder you selected already exists. 
Please choose a different location."

Environment

Release: IMDAGG99000-3.5-Infrastructure Management-Data Aggregator
Component:

Cause

The specified directory exists. The installer will not allow the installation into a pre-existing directory.

For example, in the path:

/opt/CA/IMDataCollector

The IMDataCollector directory cannot pre-exist under CA.

Resolution

Choose an installation directory which does not already exist when installing.
