Issue/Introduction

The Spectrumgtw probe is creating tons of temporary files under the cache folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\gateway\spectrumgtw\cache

CA Spectrum 10.3.x and 10.2.x

Resolution

Download the spectrumgtw probe 8.67HF1 (for 10.3.x) and 8.65HF10 (for 10.2.x) from: https://support.ca.com/us/product-content/recommended-reading/technical-document-index/ca-unified-infrastructure-management-hotfix-index.html


Follow these steps to deploy the spectrumgtw 8.67HF1 and 8.65HF10:


1. Deploy the spectrumgtw 8.67-HF1 probe

2. Deploy the Spectrum UIM service 8.67 probe (in case you have the previous version)

3. Deactivate the VMware probe (in case you have it deployed)

4. Deactivate the spectrumgtw probe 

5. Rename the C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\gateway\spectrumgtw\cache\ folder

6. Create the new C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\gateway\spectrumgtw\cache\ folder

7. Move *.dat and index files from renamed cache folder to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\gateway\spectrumgtw\cache\ folder

8. Activate the spectrumgtw probe. 

9. Wait 5 min and activate the VMware probe (in case you have it deployed)

10. Delete the renamed cache folder
