Does CA Verify/VTAM support mixed-case long password phrases?

Environment

Release:
Component: VERIFY

Resolution

There are two aspects regarding mixed-case password phrases and CA Verify/VTAM:

1. Logging on to CA Verify/VTAM itself - here we can say that long mixed-case password phrases are not supported.

2. Creating and replaying a test stream that logs on to z/OS systems, like TSO and CICS etc., with a passphrase - here we tested CA Verify and recorded a test stream that logs on to TSO using a passphrase. It worked fine and we were able to run the test stream. It has been verified that the entire passphrase is encrypted in the TCADS file.
