MAI SESSION DOES NOT WORK WITH 12.2 LOGON

Issue/Introduction
Cust is migrating from 12.1 to 12.2. Cust explained that the MAI session
definition passes &userid and &userpw to log on to 12.2--but he only
gets to the 12.2 logon screen instead of the 12.2 main menu.
Cust also noticed that the 12.1 and 12.2 logon screens are not the same.
The 12.1 logon screen has fields user ID and user password on the
same line while on the 12.2 logon screen user ID is on one line
and user password is on a different line.

Environment
OS: z/OS.
Resolution
Cust set /PARMS group LOGONUSRDATA parm Accept User Data at
Logon to YES--while &userid &userpw was already set
on the 12.2 MAI session definition.
