I am getting message 'CEM0266E CEM Policy MAPINIT Failed, RC = 00000038' when starting CEMLOGGR, what causes this error?

Resolution

The CEM0266E RC=00000038 indicates a matching policy set name does not exist, the policy has been marked as inactive, or there are no policy statements attached to the policy set. 

Review the CEMLOGGR CEMLPRM parameter file POLICYSET= control options to verify that the Policy Set exists. If the Policy Set exists, using the Compliance Event Manager User Interface review the Policy Set and verify that the Policy Statements exist.
