Connecting to Provisioning or Connector Servers in ConnectorXpress for Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

When configuring ConnectorXpress, users must select between "Add Provisioning Server" and "Add Connector Server" based on the integrated products in the environment. Incorrect selection can lead to configuration routing errors.

Identity Manager 14.5 & 15

Cause

Using the "Add Connector Server" option in environments where a Provisioning Server is already interfacing with that Connector Server causes conflicting data to be stored in the Connector Server and the Provisioning Repository. This often results in CCS Manager not enabled errors during account synchronization.

Resolution

1. Identify the deployment architecture.
2. Use Add Provisioning Server for all Identity Manager or Identity Suite deployments.
3. Use Add Connector Server only for standalone Identity Governance deployments where no Provisioning Server is involved.
4. If a connection was incorrectly added, remove the direct Connector Server entry to resolve CSConfig routing conflicts.
