Activate the Endevor Package Backout feature and options

Issue/Introduction

Is there a how to list as well as any "options" that are tied to Endevor Package backout processing?

All version of Endevor

Resolution

The "Backout" feature is only available with Endevor Packages.

The following situations will cause the Package Backout feature to not be available:  

1. Element's outputs are processed outside of a Package
2. Element's outputs are processed  within a package created without option ENABLE BACKOUT.
3. When the Endevor Processor keyword BACKOUT=N has been coded in the DD statement for the target library of the processor.
   
   

 

Additional Information

Note:
Actions affecting an Element's outputs executed outside of a Package (or in a Package with backout disabled) will invalidate the backout information for the last Package and all previous Packages depending on that Package.

Check the following ENCOPTBL option related to the package Backout feature:

• "RESTRICT_BACKOUT=ON"
• "BACKOUT_PROMPT=ON"

Check the following feature related to the Package Shipment:

• "SHIP_OUTPUTS_ASIS=ON"
• "SHIP_DEST_LIST_MAP_RULE_ONLY=ON"

Note::
The SHIP_OUTPUTS_ASIS option will allows to ship individual element backed out. For further explanation, see guide "Ship Asis Feature"
